07-Feb-2011 Members of Koro Creek Golf Club and residents of Koro Creek Golf Estate
At the beginning of this new year I would like to, on behalf of the golf committee, wish you and your families a wonderful and prosperous 2011. We are privileged to look back on a very successful year in 2010. A few events need to be reflected on:-
- The club played host to four very successful open events and compliments were widely received. The Limpopo Golf Union were so impressed with our facilities and the way we handled the Limpopo Open and Senior Open tournaments, that they have decided to allocate them to us again for 2011.
- Our league team was crowned as the Limpopo Champions, an excellent achievement when considering the small amount of active members at our club.
- The annual Kudu Tournament was a big success again, with players from all over coming to participate. Thank you very much to the marketing committee for all their hard work.
- The appointment of Riaan Roets in our restaurant made a huge difference to the club. The food is tastefully prepared and excellent value for money. Please support our restaurant! Thank you Riaan for all your efforts, you are a star!
Although we had a huge loss of income during April due to the heavy rains and the lack of playing opportunity, the club still managed to vastly improve on it’s financial position when compared to 2009. The rounds of golf played has steadily increased by the month and thanks to the meat prizes many more players are now turning up for our Wednesday competitions. The committee always strives to present the course in the best possible condition to our members and guests. The bridges at hole numbers 5 and 11 are however ‘n big headache.
The quotations received are excessive and unaffordable, if anybody can assist in this regard Please come and talk to us, the committee would appreciate any input on this. We are looking forward with great anticipation to another successful year at Koro Creek. Please be proud of your club!
Kind regards
Piet Potgieter
(Secretary)
